RBC Insurance chooses VISIlink
for visual analysis.

Insurance's Special Investigations Unit has chosen the VISIlink
INSURANCE data visualization and link analysis software application
as their tool of choice for insurance fraud investigation.

The need to find answers within their huge volumes of information was an ongoing
problem. Typical frauds included, completely fabricated claims, inflation or padding of genuine claims, false statements on insurance applications,
Personal Injury fraud such as staged auto accidents, submitting false billings, submitting inflated or unnecessary medical expenses, or claiming incapacity where the accident is legitimate but the claimed injury is not.
Some of these frauds were by individuals, but increasingly, organized crime rings staged large schemes
in attempts to steal millions of
dollars. VISIlink
INSURANCE provides analysis and visualization functions specifically
designed for the insurance
investigative environment. It allows the RBC SIU to automatically visually identify links, associations and networks from
vast databases of claims information. Using VISIlink
INSURANCE, RBC quickly discover links and association not normally apparent in the raw data
and establish logical connections between associated or related Claims, People, Organization, Vehicles, Property, Policies, and
Documents. RBC can also analyze and import data from external sources
such as, text files, spreadsheets, or other databases.

the message becomes more concise, barriers to understanding are more easily
