Insurance body chooses Paisley's VISI System for Investigative Services Division.

the Insurance Bureau of Canada - Investigative Services Division (IBC -
ISD) has chosen the The VISI System for Fraud
Investigation and Analysis as their tool for insurance fraud
investigation.
The IBC - ISD's primary objectives are to prevent and detect insurance crime by helping insurance claims departments discover attempted fraud before claims are paid, or, alternatively,
identify legitimate claims quickly so that payment may be made. It also provides underwriters with loss information that will help them to evaluate underwriting risks.
ISD has more than 125 employees working at its head office in Toronto and supporting regional offices across Canada. More than 70% of these employees are investigators, all with solid investigative backgrounds and extensive courtroom experience.
The VISI System was chosen after extensive testing and evaluation of a number of competitive
products. The VISI System combines the
VISIcais,
VISIquery,
VISIreport,
VISIlink,
and
VISImap
products to provide a case &
investigation management and visual analysis "environment" that
can be used to manage individual incidents or
large-scale investigations. The VISI System enables the ISD investigative teams to work together or
individual investigators to manage their own cases. In doing so, ISD will
create an intelligence resource that includes
all types of data including text, documents, and multimedia. The VISI
System will also enable the ISD to present the findings in an easy to
understand manner and produce the executive, discovery, arbitration or disclosure briefs
automatically.
